Holidays at the heart of nature in the Jura
The Herisson river originates from the Saut Girard, which is fed by the waters of Lake Bonlieu and Lake Ilay. Classified as a “large natural site”, the valley of waterfalls, also known as Herisson (hedgehog) Valley is definitely worth a visit during your stay in the Jura and will amaze young and old alike. Situated between Ilay and Doucier this valley extends over 3 kms.
These waterfalls are incredibly rich in natural heritage and are the pride of this region.
Wander along the wooded paths and discover the 7 waterfalls that mark the route. The two most beautiful of them, the Grand Saut and the Éventail, are over 60m high. Near the the Éventail is a museum dedicated to the visual splendour of the waterfalls and the history of the valley.

This is a farm and petting zoo. Visit bison , auroches (type of cattle) and highland cattle, the mini-farm for children, where you can participate in the feeding of the animals.
